On August 26, 2011, a working meeting of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic Vladimir Yastrebchak with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Maxim Gvindzhia took place.
During the meeting Head of Pridnestrovien foreign office congratulated Abkhazian Foreign Minister on the third Anniversary of recognition of independence of the Republic of Abkhazia by the Russian Federation and expressed confidence, that this event became a departing point for the development of Abkhazia as sovereign and Free State. “This date symbolizes today firmness and courage, faith in victory and triumph of justice, which enabled the Abkhazians to pass the most severe ordeals of the last decades,” diplomat pointed. According to his words, Abkhazian nation is marking today's celebration with implementation of grandiose projects, directed on the development of country's economy. The time of active creation, ensued with the support of Russia, enables the country to reveal great potential, which has always been the pride of its nation.
During the conversation Vladimir Yastrebchak pointed, that recognition of Abkhazian statehood passed a new serious impulse to friendly relations between two countries. “Today Pridnestrovie and Abkhazia are successfully following the path of social, economic and cultural integration, increasing the efforts, that promote practical filling of extensive basis of bilateral arrangements,” Head of Pridnestrovien diplomacy said. Minister expressed confidence that time-proved relations of friendship and constructive interaction between foreign offices of Abkhazia and Pridnestrovie will develop sequentially, serving the cause of strengthening of the peace and stability in the interests of nations of the two republics.
Vladimir Yastrebchak wished his Abkhazian colleagues prosperity and new successes in serving the ideals of freedom, justice and peace, which are also fundamental principles of foreign policy of the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic.
By order of PMR's President, in token of appreciable contribution of Abkhazian diplomats to strengthening of friendship and cooperation between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic, Vladimir Yastrebchak presented Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Maxim Gvindzhia and Deputy Minister Asida Inapshba with medal “20 years of the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic”.
