On August 17, 2011 the head of Pridnestrovien foreign office Vladimir Yastrebchak received in Ministry of Foreign Affairs the head of Pridnestrovien Regional Department of Union of Russian Airborne Troops, member of governing body of International Union of Airborne Troops Valeriy Gratov.
During the meeting Valeriy Gratov told about the activity of Pridnestrovien Regional Department of Union of Russian Airborne Troops on establishing of closer interactions between veteran's public associations of Russia and Pridnestrovie. In particular, the activity of All-Russian Union of Airborne Troop's veteran's public associations Union of Russian Airborne Troops, which unites not only acting servicemen and veterans, but well-known Russian public figures and statesmen, was discussed during the meeting.
Valeriy Gratov pointed that non-governmental organizations in Russia, including Union of Russian Airborne Troops, keep a close watch on the situation around Pridnestrovie and support our people in their struggle for independence. Valeriy Gratov reported the words of support from Commander of Russian Airborne Troops Vladimir Shamanov.
During the conversation the head of Pridnestrovien Department of Union of Russian Airborne Troops expressed his support to the course, which is held by Pridnestrovien foreign office. He emphasized that in Moscow and in other international scenes PMR's MFA authorities actively protect winnings of Pridnestrovien people. Valeriy Gratov also expressed his belief in the fact, that Pridnestrovien diplomacy will battle for the interests of the state.
Vladimir Yastrebchak thanked interlocutor for his high appreciation of the activity of PMR's MFA. Diplomat pointed, that support of Russian public is important consolidation factor for the Pridnestroviens. During the meeting Vladimir Yastrebchak also paid respects to all men of Airborne Troops and all patriots of Russia in connection with recent demise of former Commander of Airborne Troops Colonel General Vladislav Achalov. “Let his labor, his feat of arms always be absolute imperative for the people, who were near him, who will carry on his cause, and for all of us,” Minister said.
The Head of Pridnestrovien foreign office on the behalf of all the staff expressed gratitude to Valeriy Gratov for valuable contribution to development of relations with the Russian Federation and participation in patriotic education of young people. In solemn atmosphere Vladimir Yastrebchak presented Valeriy Gratov with the badge of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic “For the contribution in development of international relations”.
