Today PMR's Foreign Minister Vladimir Yastrebchak received the delegation from Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, headed by Internal Minister, Police Major General Leonid Dzapshba.
The participants of the meeting, held in PMR's Foreign Office, discussed the issues, concerning improvement of the mechanisms of interactions on different levels between Abkhazia and Pridnestrovie. Cooperation agreement, signed today by Ministries of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia and of the Pridnestrovien Moldavia Republic, became the important step on the way to this improvement. According to Leonid Dzapshba, this document stipulates the establishment of system interaction of law enforcement bodies of two republics. Abkhazian Internal Minister thanked PMR's Foreign Office for assistance and support rendered in the process of preparation of the agreement.
Vladimir Yastrebchak pointed, that there is extensive legal base, acquired by Abkhazia and PMR, which foundation was laid by the Treaty on Friendship and Cooperation between the two States, negotiated in 1993. According to the Minister, the agreement on the interaction of law enforcement bodies, signed today, became the document, concretizing one of the important directions of cooperation. “Everybody understands, that, when the people with shoulder straps come to an agreement on cooperation, it is absolutely new quality of interaction”, the Head of PMR's MFA pointed. Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic Alexander Vataman and the aide of Abkhazian Internal Minister Timur Dzapshba were present at the meeting. The Pridnestrovie side was presented by the Head of the Official Representative Office of the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic in the Republic of Abkhazia Garri Kupalba and Deputies Pridnestrovien Foreign Minister Sergey Simonenko, Alexander Malyarchuk and Vitaliy Ignatiev.
