On June 1, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vladimir Yastrebchak arrived in Sukhumi as a member of the official delegation of Pridnestrovie led by President Igor Smirnov to participate in the mourning farewell ceremony for President of Abkhazia Sergey Bagapsh.
In Abkhazia's capital Pridnestrovien delegation met with Acting President of Abkhazia Alexander Ankvab and Vice Prime-Minister Alexander Stranichkin. Officials of the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic expressed their sincere condolences to the people and leadership of Abkhazia.
The funerals of Sergey Bagapsh will be held today, on June 2, in his native village of Dzhgerda in the Ochamchira District of Abkhazia.
