Within the work trip to the capital of the Russian Federation Vitaly Ignatiev met with Sergey Gubarev, the Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry. The meeting was also attended by Vitaly Tryapitsyn, Deputy Director of the Second Department of CIS countries at the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The key issue of the meeting was the forthcoming visit of mediators and observers in the negotiating process on July 12, 2019. The interlocutors expressed hope that the meeting in 3+2 format will support the dialog activation between Sides and will facilitate the implementation of the agreements in social, economic and humanitarian field. The Sides also concurred on the necessity to hold the next meeting of “Permanent Conference...” in the 5 + 2 format in September 2019.
Diplomats also discussed the bilateral agenda of Russian-Pridnestrovian cooperation in various fields. Participants of the meeting focused on the functioning of the tripartite peacekeeping operation under the auspices of Russia and emphasized it efficiency.
At the end of the meeting, the Sides agreed to maintain the open communication on the whole spectrum of issues of mutual interest.
