The Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Moldova Zdenek Krejci.
Welcoming the guest, Vitaly Ignatiev flagged the systematic contacts between Pridnestrovie and the Czech Republic. “We are happy to cooperate with the Czech Republic and are open to any forms of communication,” the Head of the Pridnestrovian MFA stressed out.
During the conversation, Vitaly Ignatiev told in detail to interlocutor about the current situation in the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova, which underwent no significant changes due to the electoral processes.
At the same time, according to Vitaly Ignatiev, Pridnestrovie did not ignore some statements by representatives of the Republic of Moldova about the conflict resolution format, which “create harmful illusions and distract from the rhythmic work of the negotiation process in the 5+2 format on the social and humanitarian agenda that proved its efficiency and effectiveness”. “We consider it necessary to continue negotiations within the framework of this paradigm and would not like the internal processes in the Republic of Moldova to have a negative impact on the dialogue. The implementation of the agreements is our top priority for today” the Minister stressed.
Further, the interlocutors discussed several issues of bilateral cooperation between Pridnestrovie and the Czech Republic, having emphasized the implementation of social and humanitarian projects of mutual interest.
At the end of the meeting the sides confirmed their willingness for further fruitful cooperation.
