The Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting of PMR Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexandr Stetsiuk and Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Diplomacy Sharon Hudson-Dean.
Welcoming guests, Alexandr Stetsiuk noted readiness for a dialogue with the American side on topical issues of interaction in the cultural and humanitarian sphere. “A number of projects and directions related to cultural diplomacy are being implemented. The English Language and American Culture Center operates successfully in the Shevchenko Pridnestrovian State University, American film festivals, performances by various music bands and musicians from the United States are held annually,” the diplomat said.
In the course of the discussion, the interlocutors exchanged views on implementation of a number of cultural projects and programs by the United States in Pridnestrovie. Alexandr Stetsiuk also told American diplomats about the current situation in the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova.
