The Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Alexandr Stetsiuk with delegation of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights headed by the OHCHR National Coordinator in the Republic of Moldova Veaceslav Balan.
Welcoming the guests, Alexandr Stetsiuk noted that development of cooperation with the UN is one of the priorities of Pridnestrovie’s foreign policy and, in this context, Pridnestrovie took note that the Moldovan-Pridnestrovian settlement was included in the priorities of the UN for 2018.
During the conversation, the interlocutors discussed issues related to observance and protection of the rights of persons with disabilities, in particular planned activities within the framework of the Year of Equal Opportunities and projects of the UN OHCHR in Pridnestrovie.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain direct contacts on issues of mutual interest.
