A meeting of the PMR Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev with the EUBAM delegation headed by Andrew Tesoriere, Head of the Mission, was held in the Foreign Ministry. The Pridnestrovian side was also represented by the Minister of Economic Development of the PMR Sergey Obolonik, as well as the Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the PMR Vitaly Niagu.
The discussion focused on the problem of joint customs and border control of Moldova and Ukraine on the Pridnestrovian-Ukrainian border. Pridnestrovie once again outlined a principled position on the inadmissibility of establishing joint control, which threatens destabilization in the field of politics, economy, and regional security.
During the conversation, the Pridnestrovian side again presented arguments on the inadmissibility of this destructive measure, which allow for predicting the extremely negative consequences from the joint control establishment.
