On October 29, 2010, the PMR's Minister for Foreign Affairs Vladimir Yastrebchak received the delegation headed by Ambassador of the European Union, Dirk Shuebel.
The meeting was focused on the initiatives of the European Union and the Cocordia NGO from Austria aimed at building in Transdniestria a center for socially unprotected groups of the population where needy people residing in Transdniestria could be provided with necessary social services.
The EU representatives delivered their ideas regarding new directions in social and economic collaboration with Transdniestria in 2011.
During the meeting the sides exchanged their views about the present-day situation in the Moldova-Transdniestria settlement and handling with current problems in the social and economic sphere, inter alia, with those existing in expert work between Moldova and Transdniestria.
Vladimir Yastrebchak took the opportunity to congratulate Dirk Shuebel on his recent birthday wishing the European diplomat continued success in his important work.
