Today, 15 September 2016, OSCE Mission office in Bendery hosted a regular meeting of expert (working) groups on railway transport and communication involving representatives of customs authorities of Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova.
The meeting was attended by representatives of mediators and observers in the negotiation process.
The Pridnestrovian side initiated the meeting due to continuing difficult situation with petroleum importing in Pridnestrovie.
At the meeting participants studied possible ways of a stagewise resolution to the problem of goods importing in Pridnestrovie by rail, reduction of the severity of the current situation in the oil market in Pridnestrovie, as well as elimination of the negative consequences for the rail market from the previously taken unilateral decisions.
