The expert arrived in Pridnestrovie for intensifying the activities of the RISS Dniester-Prut Center
The PMR’s Foreign Ministry held a meeting of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Igor Shornikov with Researcher of the Institute for Strategic Studies Georgy Menyailo. The expert arrived in Pridnestrovie for intensifying the activities of the RISS Dniester-Prut Center. We remind that earlier, the senior representatives of the Center, as well as a number of RISS experts were deported by the Republic of Moldova from Kishinev Airport.
Greeting the guest, Igor Shornikov highly appreciated the level of cooperation reached between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR with the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies. “For many years we cooperate in the information and media sector, develop contacts in the scientific and practical field, provide support to the initiatives of the Dniester-Prut Center in the field of youth policy,” - said the diplomat.
He also noted that the Moldovan authorities' repeated attempts to hinder the activities of the RISS in Pridnestrovie could not prevent the implementation of projects of the RISS Dniester-Prut Center. In this context, Igor Shornikov stressed that the arrival of the member of the Russian Institute of Strategic Studies for permanent work in Pridnestrovie will serve as an additional impetus for the implementation of significant social, cultural, scientific and educational programmes.
Georgy Menyailo, in his turn, informed the Pridnestrovian side about the activities of the RISS in Pridnestrovie in 2016. “We have planned a set of scientific and expert activities in the socio-economic sphere which is supposed to be held both on the territory of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and on the basis of the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies in Moscow. Social programmes will fully continue and will be broadened, the annual competitions for Pridnestrovie’s children and youth will start as early as January with a focus on the patriotic education of young Pridnestrovians,” - said the member of the RISS.
According to the guest, the full list of projects planned for implementation in 2016 will be transferred to the Pridnestrovian side in the near future.
