An agreement on cooperation has been concluded between Shevchenko State University of Pridnestrovie and Lobachevsky State University of Nizhni Novgorod. Deputy Foreign Minister of the PMR Igor Shornikov told about it to the Novosti Pridnestrovya News Agency. We remind that the diplomat and the Honorary President of the Pridnestrovian State University Stepan Beril are in Nizhni Novgorod within the PMR’s delegation which arrived on Days of Pridnestrovie.
“We plan to develop cooperation, and this framework agreement will be filled with more specific projects in the near future,” – said the Deputy Minister.
According to him, it is about the cooperation in various fields, including joint research activities in scientific, humanitarian fields, in giving the teachers of the PSU opportunity to improve their skills in the State University of Nizhni Novgorod, and graduates of the Pridnestrovian University to undertake further master’s or doctoral studies at the State University of Nizhni Novgorod.
“It concerns the continuation of the education of our students, skill improvement of our teachers and, most importantly, joint research projects in various fields,” - said Igor Shornikov.
At the same time the priority opportunity to study in Russia will be given to the specialists of the areas that are most in demand in the PMR, with the expectation that they will then return to our country.
A series of exhibitions dedicated to the PMR were also held in the framework of the Days of Pridnestrovie in UNN. The exposition included Pridnestrovian stamps and new coins made of composite materials, there was an exhibition in honour of the 85th anniversary of the PSU. Residents of Nizhni Novgorod were able to see the presentation materials about the quarter-century history of the independent Pridnestrovie.
The delegation of the PMR took part in the international conference “Regions of the world: problems of history, culture and politics”. The Days of Pridnestrovie in Nizhni Novgorod are being completed today, on 20 November.
