Today, while on the working visit to Moscow Acting Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev met with Chairman of the RF State Duma Committee on the property, Head of the State Duma Interfactional group on cooperation with the Supreme Council of Pridnestrovie Sergei Gavrilov.
The meeting discussed topical aspects of the socio-economic situation in Pridnestrovie in the context of pressure put on the PMR by the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine. The sides exchanged views on possible practical mechanisms to support Pridnestrovie’s economy by the Russian Federation.
In particular, Sergei Gavrilov expressed the willingness to initiate a broad discussion on the platform of the State Duma of the whole range of current problems and challenges currently faced by the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
“Today's meeting with Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pridnestrovie Vitaly Ignatiev has strengthened our plans. We support the current President of Pridnestrovie, his proposals on the Eurasian region,” - commented on the results of the meeting Sergei Gavrilov on his Facebook page.
