Today, the MFA of the PMR opened the tenth traditional Christmas “KamArt Winter vernissage”. Taking part in the event were Deputy Foreign Minister of the PMR Igor Shornikov, Head of the State Service for Culture of the PMR Maria Kyrmyz, Vice President of the International Association of Culture and Art Workers (MARKIS) Yury Salko, Executive Secretary of the MARKIS Nikolay Dymchenko, representatives of the creative community of Pridnestrovie.
In his welcoming speech at the ceremony, Igor Shornikov noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR believes that it is important to fully support the efforts of the creative community of the republic to promote Pridnestrovie abroad. “KamArt” has already become a recognizable brand in the country and far beyond. It makes a great contribution to the development of a positive image of our state. “It is important that the “KamArt” is able to show the beauty of Pridnestrovie not only by the efforts of Pridnestrovian artists, but also attracting foreign masters so that they convey positive impressions of Pridnestrovie through their works,” – said the Diplomat.
Founder of the “KamArt” Yury Salko expressed gratitude to the PMR’s MFA for assistance in the implementation of creative ideas. He reminded that the “KamArt” project which was organized 10 years ago was supported by the Foreign Affairs of the PMR. “Today’s vernissage which shows the work s of more than ten countries in the world symbolizes an international focus of cultural, national diplomacy which goes hand in hand with the state diplomacy,” – said the Artist.
The tenth vernissage presents 14 works of art from Pridnestrovie, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Gagauzia , Poland, Israel, Romania and Bulgaria. In addition, the exhibited paintings include the work by Fyodor Konyukhov, the famous Russian traveler, writer and artist. According to Yury Salko, learned of the existence of the international project “KamArt”, the artist himself wished to give his work.
The tenth KamArt Winter Vernissage will be exhibited in the Foreign Ministry of the PMR during a month.
