On June a.c. the OSCE Office in Kishinev hosted a regular meeting of the expert (working) groups on education issues. Agreement to hold this meeting was reached at the Conference on Confidence Building Measures organized on June 10-11 a.c. in Freising (Germany).
In the course of the meeting the experts discussed authentication of education documents issued in Pridnestrovie, as well as a number of specific cases related to expelling Pridnestrovian graduates from foreign institutions of higher education due to the lack of political settlement of that issue. Unfortunately, the Moldovan side was not able to provide any practical proposals, mentioning the future work of the international experts who would arrive in July a.c. in Moldova and Pridnestrovie for more detailed examination of all aspects of the existing problem and preparation of specific recommendations to resolve it on the basis of mutually acceptable mechanism. Also, in the framework of the meeting the representatives of Pridnestrovie and Moldova exchanged the list of proposals and requirements in the context of developing regulations of functioning of Romanian–language schools in the territory of Pridnestrovie.
