Today, Office of the OSCE Mission in Bendery hosted this year's first meeting of expert (working) groups on Transport and Road Infrastructure Development from Pridnestrovie and Moldova.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Embassies of the Russian Federation and Ukraine, as well as representatives of the OSCE Mission to Moldova.
In the course of the meeting, the participants discussed bilateral cooperation prospects on organization of the international cargo and passenger transportation for Pridnestrovian vehicles. The Pridnestrovian side presented again the draft Protocol Decision “On the bases of cooperation between ANTA RM and JSC “Dniestrtrans” on issues of performing international transportation” (the document was officially sent to Yevgeny Karpov, political representative from the Republic of Moldova on the eve of the Permanent Conference in Kiev late in November last year). We remind that these organizations are authorized bodies of the sides for international transportation. It was agreed to continue discussion of the draft agreement at the upcoming meetings after submission of relevant proposal by the Moldovan side.
On the Pridnestrovian initiative, experts discussed organization of cooperation in using airspace. The Pridnestrovian side informed about planned adoption of the Air Code of the Republic and relevant norms in the near future, as well as about the intention to develop small aircraft. This meeting identified readiness of experts to continue substantive discussions on this issue during future meetings.
