On July 31, a meeting was held between Secretary of State and Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation G.B. Karasin and PMR Minister of Foreign Affairs V.V. Yastrebchak.
According to Information and Press department of the Russian Foreign Office, prospects for resumption of the negotiation process on the Pridnestrovian conflict political settlement in the light of the parliamentary elections, which took place in Moldova, were discussed in the course of the conversation. Also, problems of expert groups' work of the sides on confidence-building measures in social and economic sphere on the Dniester were discussed during the meeting, as well as issues of humanitarian and economic cooperation between Russian regions and Pridnestrovie.
