Today, the OSCE Mission Office in Tiraspol hosted a regular meeting of expert (working) groups on healthcare of Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova.
In the course of the meeting, which appeared to be the first one this year at the level of relevant experts, the sides discussed a range of issues relating to prompt cooperation between Pridnestrovie and Moldova in the health sector.
In particular, experts coordinated common approaches in terms of ensuring emergency medical care to the adult population of Pridnestrovie in cases requiring high-tech methods of diagnosis and treatment; providing emergency and planned specialized medical care to the newborns and children under 18, as well as examination of children living in Pridnestrovie on identification of genetic and congenital disorders.
Other issues of mutual interest in line of organization of healthcare systems of the two states were also considered, and prospects for further collaboration in the framework of relevant expert (working) groups were outlined.
