Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a welcome reception on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of the Foreign Ministry. The reception was organized for members of the Public Expert Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the creative community of Pridnestrovie and journalists from leading media of the Republic. Deputy Chairperson of the Government for International Cooperation of the PMR, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pridnestrovie Nina Shtanski and senior officials of the Foreign Service participated at the meeting.
Opening the ceremony, Nina Shtanski addressed welcoming speech. The diplomat stressed the importance of public diplomacy in contemporary foreign policy of Pridnestrovie and the role of public community in its implementation. “All of us have promptly intensified efforts in this direction. Our Symphony Orchestra is well known outside of Pridnestrovie, our artists perform solo exhibitions abroad, and our athletes win in the most important world events and are proud to say that they are Pridnestrovians. Each of these people is a member of our diplomatic service in own way,” she said. On behalf of all employees of the diplomatic service, Nina Shtanski also thanked the guests for their contribution to the strengthening international relations, image and statehood of the PMR. “We call on you to remain our friends henceforward - our doors are always open for you,” the Minister stressed.
During the ceremony representatives of public, creative and journalistic communities were awarded with commendations and letters of gratitude of the Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry for the contribution to the implementation of an effective foreign policy of the Republic. Member of the PMR's Union of Arts Tatyana Shuma was awarded with a badge of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic “For Contribution to the Development of International Relations”. The next issue of “Diplomatic Bulletin of Pridnestrovie” Information and Analysis Magazine of the PMR's Ministry of Foreign Affairs was also presented to guests. Its topic is the Eurasian integration of Pridnestrovie.
