Today in the Palace of the Republic, Tiraspol, next stage of the campaign “World without wars and terror in interests of children of the Planet” led by International Association of Culture and Art Workers “MARKIS” in collaboration with Peace and Concord Federation and Moscow Institute of Entrepreneurship and Law took place. The event was held as part of international outreach-cultural project “Though culture to peace and concord of nation”. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Igor Shornikov, President of “MARKIS”, honoured worker of culture of the PMR Galina Galagan, veterans of war and representatives of social organizations and creative teams.
Igor Shornikov gave a welcoming speech. He noticed that Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR has a gust of relations developing by public diplomacy with foreign partners. “Pridnestrovie welcomes reciprocal steps of two nations towards each other with respect of themselves and their history, with fair realization of their geo-political destination, with wish and motivation to follow chosen strategies. Today it is centripetal motion of Pridniestrovian and Russian nations towards formation of Eurasian core of regional and world policy”, he emphasized. Pridniestrovian diplomat also highly appreciated a role of the international cooperation in the field of culture and expressed confidence that it will continue to serve on behalf of the world and a concord in society.
During the event solemn passing of baton of campaign “World without wars and terror in interests of children of the Planet” to the town of Tiraspol, rewarding participants of drawing competition “Peace on the whole Planet as viewed by children”, and also performance of local and republican creative teams took place. Also participants of event accepted the text of the reference to the United Nations and to leaders of the states of the world.
In the reference, in particular, it is said, “Only through continuity of fundamental system of values and harmonic development of all spheres of human activity, through highly moral, spiritual, cultural foundations of an inner world of the person it is possible to establish a barrier to many negative phenomena in the modern world, including the international conflicts, wars, terror and etc.”
The reference also contains an appeal to the United Nations to recognize statehood of Pridnestrovie, and also “in every possible way to promote further development and strengthening of the international cultural ties”, “by means of culture and arts, sciences of education to promote friendship and strengthening of trust between the people” for reinforcement of peace and conflict prevention”.
The campaign of events “World without wars and terror in interests of children of the Planet” will finish on the 21st of June with gala concert of actors of Pridniestrovie and “MARKIS”.
