Today, PMR's MFA hosted the working visit of Deputy Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev with the OSCE delegation composed of Bob Dean, Senior Adviser to the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities, and Jacqueline Carpenter, Adviser on Human Rights of the OSCE Mission. The meeting also saw participation of Head of the Pridnestrovian Expert Group on Education, Minister of Education of the PMR Svetlana Fadeeva.



The meeting saw exchange of opinions about current activity of expert (working) groups on education, as well as prospects for the solution of urgent issues which are of high socio-humanitarian significance.



The interlocutors discussed a number of issues connected with the procedure of licensing of educational activity of Moldovan Latin-script schools functioning in Pridnestrovie. The Pridnestrovian side presented its vision of how this problem can be solved having pointed out a number of key aspects relating to optimal mechanism for licensing of these educational institutions.



OSCE experts expressed intention to prepare a draft protocol decision, with account to the proposals and the position of the Pridnestrovian side, which can become an effective mechanism for legalization of activity of these schools. Procedure to be worked out may be tested on the example of one of these educational institutions.



In addition, the sides touched upon certain aspects of the current mechanism for nostrification of the Pridnestrovian educational documents in the Republic of Moldova and agreed on the need to find the ways of optimization of existing procedure.



Concluding the meeting, the participants agreed to continue contacts on a permanent basis in a constructive way in order to find acceptable solutions in the sphere of education.
