Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Nina Shtanski sent a congratulatory address to Sergey Shoygu due to his appointment on the post of the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation. In the letter it is said:
“Your outstanding organizing skills, patriotism and distinct sense of responsibility for the nation is highly appreciated by the leadership of Russia which entrusts You the work in the most difficult spheres of national administration.
Your appointment on the post of Minister of Defence is an important signal for all international actors, it inspires optimism to Russia's allies, gives confidence in future to many compatriots living abroad.
Status of Russia – the guarantor-state, powerful and mighty nation – is especially important for Pridnestrovie. The high authority of Russia in the world and Russian military presence for more than 20 years are the factors, granting sustainable peace and stability on the banks of Dniester. Pridnestrovians are appreciating Russia for peacekeeping mission, for attention towards the needs of compatriots. I believe we shall manage to keep and increase the existing high level of cooperation which developed between our states in all spheres, including defence and security”.
Head of Pridnestrovian foreign-political agency wished Sergey Shoygu luck and new successes in serving the interests of the Russian people.
