On October 9, 2012, by the Decree of the President of the PMR № 678 for outstanding public service Head of the Parliament of the Republic of South Ossetia Stanislav Yakovlevich Kochiev was granted honorable citizenship of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
As it follows from the personal note of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Nina Shtanski to Speaker of the Parliament, the passport of the citizen of the PMR will be sent to its' owner through diplomatic channels in the nearest future.
According to the Minister “the relations established between Pridnestrovie and South Ossetia are traditionally based on sincere friendship, confidence, mutual understanding and professionalism; they will remain a token of fraternal relations between the States.”
