A number of meetings between Pridnestrovian delegation and the leadership of South Ossetia were held today within the framework of the visit of Pridnestrovian delegation to South Ossetia timed to the 22nd Anniversary of creation of the Republic.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev met with the Prime Minister of South Ossetia Rostislav Hugaev and Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia David Sanakoev. They participated in military parade and other solemn events in Tskhinval. The events were also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Russian Federation Dmitry Medoev.
Within the framework of the meetings topical issues concerning bilateral cooperation and activization of interaction between foreign offices of Pridnestrovie and South Ossetia were discussed.
The members of the Pridnestrovian delegation participated in festive ceremony of opening of the Centre of Russian Culture and Science in Tskhinval. Deputy Head of Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) Gennady Muradov came to congratulate the people of South Ossetia on this solemn event.
