Today, on June 20, a high-level OSCE Conference on development of confidence building measures in the process of settlement of Pridnestrovian conflict was opened in Germany in Rottach-Egern Commune (Upper Bavaria). The event will be closed on June 23. The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Yevgeny Shevchuk, Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Vladimir Filat, political representatives of Pridnestrovie and Moldova – Nina Shtanski and Yevgeny Karpov, representatives of guarantor states of the settlement – the Russian Federation and Ukraine, representatives of intermediary – the OSCE and observers in the negotiation process – the USA and the EU, will participate in the Conference.
Within the framework of forthcoming conference expert groups will make preliminary summary of their activity and will consider the most topical issues and will elaborate recommendation on corresponding directions.
The practice of holding of similar summary conferences has already become traditional. Earlier, in 2010-2011, they were held in Garmish and Bad-Reichenhal. On the previous summary conference Joint Regulations for Expert and Working Groups on Confidence Building Measures and on Development of Interaction was signed. It is the basic document; departmental experts are guided by its' provisions in their current activity.
As it was earlier reported by political representative of Pridnestrovie in the process of Pridnestrovian settlement, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Nina Shtanski, the main task for Pridnestrovian delegation in Germany is to make Pridnestrovian position heard. This will allow to achieve practical decisions in socio-economical sphere, which will favor the improvement of welfare of our citizens and the protection of their inalienable rights.
