Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Nina Shtanski sent condolences to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia in connection with the death-day of Sergey Vasilievich Bagapsh. The message of condolence reads:
“The main event in the history of the Republic of Abkhazia – recognition of state independence by the Russian Federation – is connected with the name of Sergey Vasilievich. A talented politician, skillful diplomat, and a true patriot of his country, he always firmly asserted rights and freedoms of his co-citizens. The memory of this wonderful man will always live in the hearts of his compatriots.
Sergey Bagapsh will forever be remembered in Pridnestrovie as a leader of a brotherly nation who was one of the initiators of the Community for Democracy and Peoples' Rights. He was always a decent defender of the interests of Abkhazian people in the international scene.”
