As reported by the Press-service of the President of the PMR, Head of State signed an order on Simplified Border-Crossing Procedure during Easter holidays and commemorative days. This procedure will be in force on April 14-16 and 21-23.
In order to implement signed order State Security Committee will open supplementary temporary check-points. On Pridnestrovian-Ukrainian border: “Sovetskoe-Labushnoe”, “Vadul-Turkului-Shershentsy”, “Valya-Adynke-Zagnitkov”, “Plot-Krutye”, “Dzura-Fedoseevka”, “Tsybulevka-Tsehanovka” and “Novokomissarovka-Nesterovo”. On Pridnestrovian-Moldavian border temporary check-point “Teya-Kalfa” will be opened besides other active check-points. These check-points will operate during periods of time coordinated by the sides.
Concerning citizens who have passports Soviet passports. Only pensioners having such documents can cross Pridnestrovian-Ukrainian border only in local check-points. They will have such possibility on April 14-24.
During Easter holidays and commemorative days those who live in frontier regions of Pridnestrovie and those who enter (leave) Pridnestrovie from adjoining regions of Ukraine and Moldova are free to cross the border of our State. Basic condition fixed in the order of the President of the PMR – presence of identifying documents and residence permit for a specific address in frontier population centers.
Goods which are moved across the border by Pridnestrovians are controlled by State Customs Committee according to simplified regime. This scheme is not valid for the goods which are intended for production and commercial purposes. Vehicles registered on the territory of the PMR and owned by the Pridnestrovians will not be subjected to border control and registering.
Migration control will be also simplified: migration services will check documents only in order to check the fact of their validity and ownership. Such cases, when Ministry of Internal Affairs and State Security Committee will have enough reason to suppose, that persons crossing the border are trying to evade conscription or committed a crime, or are wanted by the police, are the exceptions. The President of the PMR imposed control over the fulfillment of this order on Head of State Security Committee, Minister of Internal Affairs and Chairman of State Customs Committee.
