Today a working meeting of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev and Advisor to Minister of Internal Affairs Konstantin Kalinyonok with Head of the Council of Europe Office in Moldova Ulvi Ukhundlu was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR.
The participants discussed a number of practical aspects within the framework of realization of projects of the Council of Europe that have social-humanitarian orientation. In particular, the details of the CE initiative “Sport instead of drugs”, which provides for holding of Tag Rugby (contactless variant of rugby) tournament between the teams from Pridnestrovie and Moldova, were discussed.
Interlocutors also discussed the possibility of holding of training seminar on Drug Prevention for Youth. Target audience of the seminar will include school teachers and sport coaches.
During the elaboration of organizational issues the Advisor to Minister of Internal Affairs of the PMR expressed readiness to render necessary assistance through Ministry of Internal Affairs with the account taken of presence of sport basis and considerable experience of holding of Rugby tournaments.
From his side Ulvi Ukhundly emphasized the adherence of the Office of the Council of Europe to open interaction with Pridnestrovie and expressed hope on continuation of productive dialogue.
