Today Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR hosted the meeting of Acting Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic in the Republic of Moldova Dagmar Repcekova. Participating in the meeting were also Head of the Department for Foreign Policy Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic Peter Michalko and Head of the Official Assistance Development Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic Karla Wursterova.
Visit of the Slovak delegation to Pridnestrovie was aroused by increased interest shown towards political life of the country. According to the guests, the meeting between Vlad Filat and Yevgeny Shevchuk, held in Odessa, gave rise to positive response in foreign office of the Slovak Republic and high appreciation of diplomats.
Vitaly Ignatiev acquainted the colleagues with positive changes, taking shape in the dialogue between Kishinev and Tiraspol, and expressed regret, that, in spite of constructive steps of Pridnestrovie, Moldova does not hasten with response reaction on the level of practical decisions.
Pridnestrovien diplomat designated basic aspects of the official position of the Pridnestrovien side in the light of forthcoming sitting of 5+2 format in Irish capital – Dublin.
During the meting Dagmar Repcekova reported on the desire of Slovakia, as EU member country, to begin realization of humanitarian and economical projects in Pridnestrovie. In particular, it was a matter of micro-grants which stipulate rendering of financial assistance on execution of projects with terms that are less than six month.
In his turn Peter Michalko marked the importance of development of small-scale business. In connection with this, he proposed to open in Pridnestrovie a business school, which will afford talented entrepreneurs to visit Slovakia, to study the peculiarities of its' market, to improve business contacts.
Interlocutors also discussed issues, connected with perspective of easing of the regime of movement of services, goods and people, the resumption of telephone communication, railway service. Representatives of Slovak delegation proposed their assistance in advancement of these issues in the framework of expert and working groups of the sides.
Vitaly Ignatiev thanked colleagues for attention paid towards different aspects of Pridnestrovien vital functions and marked topical nature of proposals of Slovak diplomats in social and economical sphere.
