Vitaly Ignatiev Met with Sergey Gubarev, the Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry

Within the work trip to the capital of the Russian Federation Vitaly Ignatiev met with Sergey Gubarev, the Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry. The meeting was also attended by Ruslan Slobodenyuk, Ambassador-at-Large in the rank of Deputy Foreign Minister of the PMR, and Arif Gadzhiev, Sergey Gubarev’ Assistant.

Sides exchanged views on the current situation in the dialog between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova. Interlocutors discussed the forthcoming visit of mediators and observers in the negotiating process and also expressed the idea to activate the contacts between the Sides at all levels as soon as possible. Diplomats flagged the necessity to hold the next meeting of “Permanent Conference...” in the 5 + 2 format to discuss topical social and humanitarian issues.

Diplomats also discussed the bilateral agenda of Russian-Pridnestrovian cooperation in various fields. They exchanged views on several issues related to the current security situation and the functioning of the peacekeeping operation under the auspices of Russia.

At the end of the meeting, the Sides agreed to maintain the intensity of working communication on the whole spectrum of issues of mutual interest.
