On the Meeting of Expert (Working) Groups on Issues of Humanitarian Assistance

Today the meeting of the Expert (Working) Groups on Issues of Humanitarian Assistance from Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova was held at the OSCE Office in Kishinev city. 



The meeting was attended by representatives of the Russian Federation, the OSCE and the USA as mediators and observers under the “Permanent Conference on Political Issues in the Framework of the Negotiating Process for Pridnestrovian Settlement”.



The experts discussed issues on arrangement of activities of child protection services, procedures of international adoptions and several humanitarian projects of mutual interest.



Moldovan party has provided information on the current guardianship practice in the Republic of Moldova, as well as on regulatory procedures in the field of international adoption.



Pridnestrovian party, in turn, informed the Moldovan colleagues on current relevant legislative standards of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Acting Minister for Social Protection and Labour Oksana Bulanova said that this ministry was formed through the share of authorities of the Ministry of Health of the PMR, the Ministry of Economic Development of the PMR and the Ministry of Education of the PMR.



The parties expressed their readiness to continue cooperation in the humanitarian area including exchange of regulatory acts and experience of Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova in the field of guardianship, as well as procedures for international adoptions.



The head of the expert group from Pridnestrovie Galina Sandutsa gave to her Moldovan colleague a draft of the Protocol Decision defining the procedure of filing, pension supplement and social securities when moving to a permanent residence from Moldova to Pridnestrovie and from Pridnestrovie to Moldova. The parties agreed to discuss the draft of the Protocol Decision at the next meeting.
