Today, the meeting between Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International Cooperation, Foreign Minister Nina Shtanski and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Moldova Farit Mukhametshin took place in the Foreign Ministry of the PMR.

During the meeting the sides discussed topical issues of the Russian – Pridnestrovian cooperation, including in implementing the “Rogozin-Shevchuk” Protocol. Special attention was paid to new restriction measures taken by Moldova towards Pridnestrovian agricultural producers, unfounded nongranting of the Phytosanitary Certificate for exports of Pridnestrovian goods (See http://mfa-pmr.org/index.php?newsid=4604 for more details)

Nina Shtanski called the given circumstance a repressive and discriminatory approach because such restrictions have no legal foundation. “We expect official clarifications from the Moldovan side. We reckon the guarantor countries will be involved in this process,” – said the Minister.

In the framework of the meeting the Head of Foreign Minister stated a high and growing dynamics of bilateral cooperation between Pridnestrovie and Russia in the context of implementing interdepartmental agreements. Nina Shtanski noted that Russian specialists from departments of the economic sector had already got in direct touch with Pridnestrovian enterprises which will allow to expand opportunities for export to the Russian Federation.

Besides, Nina Shtanski and Farit Muchametshin exchanged views on dismantling emergency cableway. The Head of the Pridnestrovian diplomacy noted with satisfaction that technologically difficult dismantling process undertaken by Russian Emergencies Ministry specialists was conducted openly with wide media involvement. She reiterated the significance of the event for the Pridnestrovians whose houses were located directly under the constructions threatening the security of the inhabitants. “Dismantling of the emergency cableway is one of the steps in the field of socio-economic cooperation between Pridnestrovie and Moldova achieved in the framework of the negotiation process which was fully realized by the Russian Federation,” – emphasized the Minister.
