Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Aleksandr Stetsiuk held a meeting with the delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross led by Karina Lehmann. ICRC representatives Tarlan Aghayev and Azat Doskozhaev also took part in the meeting.
Opening the meeting, Alexandr Stetsiuk praised the current level of bilateral relations between Pridnestrovie and the Red Cross and welcomed the humanitarian support which the ICRC provides to refugees who had arrived in the republic.
The main focus of the discussion was on the health care system in Pridnestrovie and the needs existing in this area. The ICRC representatives, in particular, informed about current project plans aimed at improving the quality of medical services and enhancing the capacity of medical and preventive facilities in our republic.
At the end of the meeting, the interlocutors agreed to maintain regular communication and continue their exchanges on pressing humanitarian issues.
