The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted the meeting of the Pridnestrovian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev and the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Claus Neukirch.

During the conversation, diplomats lead a substantive discussion on the current situation within the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova. Interlocutors expressed a common opinion as to the negative dialogue dynamics between the sides on the given stage and stated the need to give it an additional impetus.

“The pause in negotiations unreasonably dragged out. Problems that add every day bear a diverse character. In this aspect, we count on the support of international settlement participators aimed at minimizing any barriers to people’s normal life and economic agents’ work,” the Minister noted.

Continuing the discussion, Vitaly Ignatiev emphasized that the Moldovan side keeps artificially tensing the situation within the Moldovan-Pridnestrovian dialogue and tries uploading non-existing problems to the current agenda, thus, distracting international partners’ attention from the fact that Moldova systemically does not fulfill its obligations on the early reached agreements, including the Berlin+ package.

Ending the meeting, the diplomats agreed to continue a regular working communication on the whole range of current cooperation.
