On the Meeting with the European Union Delegation

On January 10, 2012, acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vladimir Yastrebchak received in Tiraspol Miroslav Lajcak, Managing Director of the EU External Action Service for Europe and Central Asia, and Dirk Shuebel, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Moldova. Participating in the meeting were also political advisor in the European Eternal Action Service Remi Duflot, and Deputy Chief of Operational and Territory Department of the MFA of the PMR Andrey Lozinskiy.

In the course of the meeting interlocutors discussed results of the recent international and internal political events, current issues of the agenda around Moldova-Pridnestrovie settlement and interaction between Pridnestrovie and European Union.

During the meeting Vladimir Yastrebchak specially drew attention of the European colleagues to inadmissibility of artificial politicization by Moldovan authorities of issues relating to recent tragic incident in the Security Zone. Such steps by the Moldovan side may have a negative impact on the perspectives of bilateral and multilateral interaction between Moldova and Pridnestrovie at different levels, inter alia in the framework of various negotiation formats.
