The meeting discussed in detail the problems of the Moldavian-Pridnestrovian settlement. It was about the prospects for continuation of the dialogue at the level of representatives on political issues of Pridnestrovie and Moldova, as well as about the planned visit of the mediators and observers in the negotiation process to the Republic of Moldova and Pridnestrovie. “We're a little concerned about the lack of concrete results in the negotiation process. During today's meeting, we have discussed in detail the positions of the Pridnestrovian and Russian sides. We are united in the approaches and we will continue to talk about it with our Western partners and tell political representative in Kishinev what issues need to be addressed both in working groups and in the negotiation process in general,” said Farit Mukhametshin.

The President of Pridnestrovie and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia also discussed a wide range of work issues related to the development of bilateral relations, in particular, the implementation of humanitarian projects and events devoted to the celebration of Victory Day in 2016.

President Yevgeny Shevchuk conveyed gratitude to the leadership of the Russian Federation and personally to Special Representative of the Russian President for Pridnestrovie Dmitry Rogozin for the continuation of a humanitarian project to provide financial assistance to pensioners of Pridnestrovie. “Despite the difficult economic situation in Russia itself, we received the funds in March, which were sent to our pensioners. This is significant support. Pridnestrovian citizens are grateful to the Russian Federation, which, even in a difficult period of time for itself supports Pridnestrovians,” said the president.
