Nina Shtanski sent condolences to the leadership of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic in connection with the Day of Remembrance of the Armenian Genocide

Today, Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International Cooperation, Foreign Minister Nina Shtanski sent condolences to Prime Minister of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Araik Haroutyunyan, Foreign Minister of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Karen Mirzoyan in connection with the Day of Remembrance of the Armenian Genocide.

The message reads:

 “The 1915 was one of the most tragic for the Armenian people. Without warning or explanation, the Turkish authorities arrested, shot, deported hundreds of Armenians. Unbearable conditions were created for Armenian settlements when the people died out of hunger and disease. The victims of the tragic events became more than a million and a half people. Fleeing from genocide, millions of Armenians scattered around the world, lost their home and native land.

“100 years have passed since the tragic events, but crimes against humanity have no period of limitations. On this day Pridnestrovie together with the people of Artsakh mourns for the victims of the genocide. Let our sense of empathy toward the terrible grief that befell the Armenians in the beginning of the last century in their native land, will support the people of Nagorno Karabakh in the struggle for the further revival and consolidation of the entire Armenian people”.
