Today, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vladimir Yastrebchak held the briefing for journalists of the Pridnestrovien and Russian mass media devoted to the results of the first round of official work of the Permanent Conference on Political Issues in the framework of the Pridnestrovien Settlement Negotiation Process which took place in Vilnius on November 30 – December 1, 2011.

Today, PMR’s MFA has sent a note to the Russian Embassy in the Republic of Moldova expressing the utmost bewilderment in connection with detention of the group of PMR’s officials, including Secretary of the Central Election Committee of the PMR M. B. Melnik and Deputy Foreign Minister of the PMR S.O. Simonenko, in Sheremetyevo Airport lasting for more than six hours, and also in connection with attempts to withdraw their personal computers and technical data carriers.
