The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR is deeply concerned about the detention of a group of young Russian scientists, flying to the city of Moscow after scientific expedition to the Republic of Moldova, Gagauzia and Pridnestrovie on February 1, 2015 at the airport of Kishinev.
The visit was aimed at gathering by the researchers from universities of the Russian Federation the necessary scientific information and materials that provide an objective perspective on the history and current developments in the wider regional space.
Today, the small hall of the Dvorets Respubliki (State Cultural Center) hosted the expanded session of the Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry Collegium, coincided with the Diplomat’s Day. We remind that in accordance with the Decree of the President of the PMR No. 403 “On Amendments to the Decree of the President of the PMR of June 13, 2001 No. 300 “On the establishment of professional holidays and memorable days in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic the “Day of diplomats of the PMR previously celebrated on May 6 was appointed on February 10.

Today, during the expanded session of the Foreign Ministry Collegium President Yevgeny Shevchuk made a welcoming speech in which he highly appreciated the efficiency of the Foreign Ministry. Here is the full text of the speech of the President:
President of Pridnestrovie Evgeny Shevchuk met with the delegation of the ANO “Eurasian integration”. State Duma Deputy of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Council of the ANO “Eurasian Integration” Aleksei Zhuravlev and Director of the ANO “Eurasian Integration” Alexander Argunov informed the President about progress in the construction of social facilities, which were conducted on the territory of the PMR by the Russian NGO.
On January 28-29, representative of the Foreign Ministry of the PMR Alexander Gutsul took part in the International Youth Forum “The mission of the young: to preserve the history of the Great Victories!” The forum held in Nizhny Novgorod was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The meeting between the Council of Young Diplomats of the MFA of Pridnestrovie and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Moldova Farit Mukhametshin took place in the PMR’s MFA today.
Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International cooperation, Foreign Minister Nina Shtanski met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Moldova Farit Mukhametshin.
The meeting was also attended by First Secretary of the Embassy, Head of the on-site point of the consular department of the Embassy of Russia Damir Zhamaldinov; from the Pridnestrovian side - Deputy Foreign Ministers of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev and Igor Shornikov.
In the interest of ensuring public security and improving the mechanisms of regulation of migration flows, as well as with a view to modernizing the current legislation in the field of migration on 30 January, 2015 the President of the PMR signed Decree No. 22 “On approving Regulations on specific features of migration registration and control in the PMR”
The provisions regulated the implementation of the Decree will be developed and approved by the appropriate normative legal acts of the Government of the PMR in February, 2015.
