On the Participation of PMR’s MFA Authorities in the Round-Table Meeting

On June 24, 2011 a round-table meeting, dedicated to the activity of NGO's in Tiraspol, took place in Ministry of Education of the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic.

PMR's Deputy Foreign Minister Vitaliy Ignatiev, Deputy Minister of Education Vyacheslav Popeskul, specialists from T.G. Shevtchenko Pridnestrovien State University, representatives of youth non-governmental organizations, journalists participated in the meeting.

In his report, dedicated to partnership's potential of State and civil society of Pridnestrovie, Vitaliy Ignatiev marked the importance of the definition of common space of “possibilities”, which can be used with mutual advantage and benefit for both our society and State.

Particular attention was paid to the peculiarities of interaction mechanism of domestic NGOs with foreign donors and partners, which represents in many respects politically committed system, mediated by structures of the Republic of Moldova, which have relations with the Government, and create subordinate situation for the Pridnestrovien organizations.

In order to improve the climate of interaction of the organizations from the third sector with state institutions of the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic, a number of principles and practical recommendations, based on the certain examples, was offered.

Deputy Minister gave special priority to prospects and practical parameters of the partnership of Pridnestrovien non-governmental organizations with non-governmental structures from the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Nagorno-Karabakh, pointing Ministry's willingness to promote contacts establishment.   

In the context of informational and social direction of foreign-policy activities of PMR's Foreign Ministry Vitaliy Ignatiev told about planned projects and events and urged concerned non-governmental and youth organizations to mutually beneficial competent cooperation.

Following the results of the round-table meeting, the participants adopted the Resolution, which reflected their consolidated positions.
