Today Acting Foreign Minister of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev met with Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Michael Scanlan at the MFA of the PMR.
The sides discussed the current situation in the negotiation process of Pridnestrovie and Moldova, including through the Representatives on Political Issues. They also exchanged views on the prospects for the development of Moldova-Pridnestrovie dialogue, in particular, the sides agreed on the need to promote the revitalization of the dynamics of meetings at the level of expert (working) groups.
Vitaly Ignatiev said that the sides managed to reach agreement on holding a meeting of the expert (working) groups on environmental issues on Friday, October 2nd. Moreover, Pridnestrovie proposed to hold meetings of experts on the development of transport and road facilities and economic issues before the end of this week. The diplomat stressed that Pridnestrovie counts on holding a series of meetings of subject matter experts in October this year which as it is expected will make the agenda of the discussions in the format “1+1” more substantive.
