The foreign ministry of Pridnestrovie has repeatedly stated at the international level that it is inadmissible to establish joint customs-border control of Moldova and Ukraine on the Pridnestrovian-Ukrainian state border. Under the conditions of the unresolved conflict between Pridnestrovie and Moldova, such unilateral destructive actions are a form of pressure on the Pridnestrovian side.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pridnestrovie has taken note of the Statement of the Ministerial Council of the OSCE participating States concerning the negotiations on the Pridnestrovian settlement, adopted in Hamburg on 8-9 December 2016.

We consider another declaration of the Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the OSCE participating States as an abstract document, which has no direct relation to the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova.

The Press Service of the PMR’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes the continued increase in restrictions by the Moldovan side towards official representatives of the Pridnestrovian authorities in Kishinev airport.

According to information received by the Foreign Ministry of the PMR, today, at the Kishinev airport armed police officers of the Republic of Moldova detained without explanation and then deported for 15 years Radislav Sabirov, Pridnestrovie’s defender, retired Colonel of Special Rapid Deployment Force of Tatarstan. Special Forces Veteran was in Pridnestrovie on a private visit, inter alia he took part in the festivities on the City Day of Bendery.

​Today, 15 September 2016, Advisor to the Director of the Foreign Policy Cooperation Center n.a. Y.M. Primakov, Advisor to the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund Yuri Zhmurko and Head of the Department of Cultural and Global Studies at BSTU “Voenmech” n.a. D.F. Ustinov, chief editor of “Geopolitics and Security” journal Igor Fedorovich Kefeli, which intended to travel to Pridnestrovie to participate in the conference, were stopped in the Kishinev Airport and deported to the Russian Federation.

​Today, at the airport of Kishinev Moldova’s border police detained and then deported Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Oleg Nurievich Arshba travelling to Pridnestrovie at the invitation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

It should be noted that the Pridnestrovian side had informed the RM about the planned visit of the foreign guest in advance in accordance with the established procedure. However, despite this fact, the repressive measures were applied to the representative of Abkhazia.

As previously reported by the Press Service of the PMR's MFA, a meeting of representatives on political issues from Pridnestrovie and Moldova was held on May 5, during which it was agreed to hold a meeting of expert (working) groups on education in the presence of representatives on political issues that week. They also discussed prospects for organizing a number of other meetings at the level of specialized expert (working) groups that week and the week after.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR informs that the relevant services of Pridnestrovie reported the facts of unsanctioned flight of the Romanian aircraft “Diamond DA-42 Twin Star” through the airspace of Pridnestrovie on April 27, 2016.

According to the information available, the aircraft intruded into the airspace of the PMR by early afternoon and took aerial photography of a number of facilities located on the territory of Pridnestrovie, as well as it crossed the Security Zone 18 times.

​Today, on February 1, 2016, during the procedure of passport control at the airport in Kishinev before flight departure to the capital of the Russian Federation in the framework of working trip Head of the Foreign Ministry of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vitaly Ignatiev was subjected to the extra searches on the so-called “second line”.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR draws the attention of the residents of Pridnestrovie to the possible aggravation of the political situation in the neighbouring Republic of Moldova, as well as to the expected increase in protest activity in Kishinev.

In this regard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR recommends the citizens of Pridnestrovie in order to avoid possible incidents to refrain from traveling to the Republic of Moldova, as well as to participate in any public events related to the socio-political processes in Moldova.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR informs about the fact of unjustified detention and thorough personal search of a Pridnestrovian official in Kishinev airport.

So, on December 20, 2015 upon returning from Moscow Co-Chairman of the Joint Control Commission from Pridnestrovie Oleg Belyakov was detained in Kishinev airport by Moldova’s border agencies for additional control measures with the so-called “view to determining whether the admittance of the Pridnestrovian representative to Moldova is possible”.

​Today, the Foreign Ministry of Pridnestrovie has received through existing channels a telegram of the leadership of the Ukrainian railways addressed to the regional branches, indicating that the mechanism existed since 2004 of shipment of imported goods going by rail to Pridnestrovie loses its force from January 1, 2016.

​The PMR Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports about the destructive actions of power structures of the Republic of Moldova against Pridnestrovian officials.

On December 6, 2015 Acting Health Minister of the PMR Tatyana Skrypnik departing on a working trip from the airport in Kishinev was subjected to the procedure of enhanced personal inspection without explanation. The Acting Minister was subjected to a similar humiliating procedure when returning from a trip on December 9, 2015.

On 1 December 2015 in Athens a regular court session was held on extradition or release of Maksim Kuzmichev, an officer of the PMR’s MIA.  

Let us remind that the citizen of the PMR Maksim Kuzmichev was arrested on 20 July 2015 in Athens as the Republic of Moldova put him in the international wanted list.

During the court hearing the Greek judicial authorities decided to refuse the extradition of Maksim Kuzmichev to Moldova and then he was officially released.

On 27 November the Department of Representative on political issues of the Republic of Moldova Victor Osipov issued a statement calling on the RM’s and foreign citizens to refrain from travelling to Pridnestrovie on 28-29 November.

The Moldovan authorities’ appeal is justified by the alleged possibility of any provocation on the part of law enforcement agencies of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic against international representatives who will come to observe the elections in Pridnestrovie.

Today the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR sent an address to Representative on political issues of Moldova Victor Osipov, as well as all the 5+2 participants in connection with others unfriendly actions of the law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Moldova against the officials of Pridnestrovie.

​The Foreign Ministry of the PMR reports that following the deportation of member of the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies N.V. Bondarev at night from 25 to 26 November 2015 at Kishinev airport two more members of the Pridnestrovian-Serbian international conference were not allowed to enter.

Today, on November 25, 2015, approximately at 1 p.m. Russian scientist, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Head of the Balkan States Department of Russian Institute for Strategic Studies Nikita Viktorovich Bondarev, who arrived to Kishinev at 12:30 p.m. on board of S7 157, was deported from Kishinev airport to the Russian Federation.
