Today, the PMR's Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev had a meeting with the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Claus Neukirch via video link.

A number of problematic issues that hinder the free movement of Pridnestrovian citizens were raised as a matter of priority. In particular, the diplomats discussed the problem of citizens' access to the territory of Ukraine with COVID-19 vaccination certificates issued by Pridnestrovian medical facilities. Vitaly Ignatiev and Claus Neukirch agreed to hold additional consultations with their interlocutors in Moldova and Ukraine in order to eliminate the problem in the shortest possible time.

During the conversation, the Foreign Minister pointed to the recent provocative actions of one of Moldova's political parties at the checkpoints on the border with Pridnestrovie and called on the OSCE Mission to assist in preventing such negative manifestations, that impede the movement of the population, during the election campaign in the Republic of Moldova.

As a follow-up to the visit paid by the delegation of mediators and observers to Pridnestrovie earlier this month, Vitaly Ignatiev and Claus Neukirch exchanged views on the prospects for further work in the negotiation process. In particular, the aspects related to organizing the Permanent Meeting were considered. The Pridnestrovian side emphasized its readiness to hold the next 5+2 meeting as soon as possible, without any preconditions, as envisaged by the existing documents of the negotiation process.

At the end of the meeting, the interlocutors agreed to maintain regular working contacts and interaction on the whole range of pressing issues.
