Vadim Krasnoselsky Met with Farit Mukhametshin

Being in the Russian capital, the Head of the Pridnestrovian State met with Farit Mukhametshin, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs. Years of diplomatic interaction associate the Russian statesman with Pridnestrovie: from 2012 to 2018, Farit Mukhametshin headed the Russian Embassy in the Republic of Moldova and used to be a frequent guest of Pridnestrovie; he is well acquainted with the situation in the republic and around its perimeter and is firsthand acquainted with the history of the Permanent Conference..." format functioning.

Today, interlocutors discussed the present situation in the PMR and around Pridnestrovie in the light of current trends, paying particular attention to the negotiation process. Vadim Krasnoselsky stressed the principled focus of Pridnestrovie on a constructive dialogue with Moldova that aims at an early solution of socio-economic and humanitarian problems in people’s interests. He noted as well that a necessary condition for positive dynamics in the dialogue is for Chisinau to fulfill all previously reached agreements.

Participants discussed the state of the peacekeeping operation and ways to support this mechanism, which is unique in its effectiveness. The sides spoke about bilateral Russian-Pridnestrovian agenda, which includes a wide range of issues of various orientations.
