The Pridnestrovian President Vadim Krasnoselsky met with Dmitry Kozak in Moscow

The Administration of the Russian Federation’s President held the meeting between the President of Pridnestrovie Vadim Krasnoselsky and the Deputy Head of the Russian Federation’s Presidential Administration Dmitry Kozak.

During the meeting, the Head of State praised the intensity of bilateral working contacts, stressing out that the Russian Federation is a key partner of Pridnestrovie and that relations with it are strategic for the Republic.

Vadim Krasnoselsky and Dmitry Kozak thoroughly discussed relevant aspects of the Russian-Pridnestrovian cooperation in various fields. Particular attention was paid to the situation in the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and Moldova. Negative trends related to the unresolved topics of a number of long-standing tensed issues were discussed together with new problems that residents of Pridnestrovie face due to unilateral actions of Moldova. The interlocutors are unanimous in their opinion about the need for speedy and full-fledged implementation of the previously reached agreements and the unacceptability of creating artificial complications at all levels of the negotiation process. The parties supported the need of an uninterrupted functioning of the international 5 + 2 negotiation format and the need to hold regular meetings.

The working discussion continued with a detailed exchange of views on trade development and economic cooperation, including the buildup of mutual trade between the two countries. Vadim Krasnoselsky and Dmitry Kozak examined the prospects for implementing a number of social and humanitarian projects aimed at supporting Russian citizens and compatriots living in the PMR. The interlocutors discussed the parameters of Russian-Pridnestrovian cooperation in the framework of the PMR complex events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Ending the meeting, the interlocutors outlined plans for bilateral cooperation this year, agreeing to continue a working dialogue on the entire cooperation areas spectrum between Pridnestrovie and Russia.
