The Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting between Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and the head of the OSCE Mission Klaus Neukirch. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Stetsiuk.

The diplomats summed up some results of the first political representatives meeting in 2020 and outlined their own vision regarding current negotiation agenda issues and possible next steps in the ongoing dialogue. Vitaly Ignatiev drew attention to the restrictions on freedom of movement inadmissibility, manifested by means of the ban on crossing Moldovan-Ukrainian state borders for vehicles registered in the PMR. The Minister described this restriction of citizens' rights as a challenge for the Pridnestrovian side, urging mediators to assist in preventing the deterioration of the situation.

The interlocutors also discussed the problem of criminal cases brought against officials of Pridnestrovie and Moldova, the import of various goods in Pridnestrovie, as well as the prospects for cooperation in finding a solution to the problem of bank accounts.

Formulating expectations from the Albanian OSCE Chairmanship, Vitaly Ignatiev emphasized his interest in the rhythmical work of the existing negotiation mechanisms, including specialized expert (working) groups and the 5 + 2 format. Vitaly Ignatiev and Klaus Neukirch noted the importance of the upcoming visit to Pridnestrovie of the newly appointed Special Representative of the OSCE Chairmanship Thomas Mayr Harting on January, 23, current year, in terms of giving an impetus to the dialogue between the parties.
