The two-day visit by a high-level delegation to Pridnestrovie is completing. Today, President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Yevgeny Shevchuk and Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the Russian Federation, Special Representative of the President of Russia for Pridnestrovie Dmitry Rogozin visited JSC “Moldavskaya GRES” power plant and historical-archeological complex Bendery Fortress. Russian guests appraised power and capacities of the largest Pridnestrovian exporter of electric energy to near and far-abroad countries and got to know the main cultural sightseeing of Pridnestrovie. Following the results of the visit, Yevgeny Shevchuk and Dmitry Rogozin held summarizing briefing for Pridnestrovian and Russian mass media.



President of the PMR thanked representatives of the Russian Federation for close and scrupulous examination of all life aspects and problems which citizens of Pridnestrovie are confronted with. According to him, in the framework of this visit consultations to step-up economic cooperation of Pridnestrovie and Russia were held, and several projects and documents were prepared which were handed over to the Russian side for further consideration. ‘We hope that new interaction schemes between Pridnestrovie and Russia, between economic agents of our states will be elaborated,” Yevgeny Shevchuk marked. “We are interested in strengthening and development of economic contact. Certainly, socio-economic situation of Russian citizens and compatriots living in Pridnestrovie will depend on economy,” he stressed.



Dmitry Rogozin confirmed that the main purpose of the visit by the Russian delegation was to examine socio-economic situation in Pridnestrovie. “Main emphasis which we put during this trip consists in the analysis of economic capacities of the region,” the Russian politician stated. “We are not abstract dreamers, and we will try to implement everything what was mapped out.”



According to Dmitry Rogozin, Russian leadership doesn't witness enough efforts to reach progress to be taken in the negotiation process between Tiraspol and Kishinev. “It seems that the situation in Kishinev hasn't fully ripened and other participants of the peacekeeping format don't show due dynamism. Therefore our attention is mainly focused on strengthening of socio-economic basis of life of Pridnestrovie,” he concluded. At the end of the conversation with journalists, Dmitry Rogozin told that upon his return to Russia Expert Council of the Government of the Russian Federation will start working out proposals for the Pridnestrovian leadership regarding strategy of Republic's economic development.
