SCO Business Club is Ready to Open an Office in Pridnestrovie

A special guest at the IV International Business Forum "Moscow Business Dialogue of the SCO" was Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev. A meeting with the leadership of the Business Club of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was held in the framework of the forum.

During the discussion Vitaly Ignatiev paid particular attention to the PMR’s readiness to forge trade and economic relations with the SCO countries. He spoke about the work being done to attract investments and about trade and economic blockade which hinders the development of PMR. Special attention in his speech Vitaly Ignatiev gave to the need to attract investments in small and medium-sized businesses, to realize the projects on creating clusters, agricultural holdings, industrial parks  which will create economic growth points in order to improve the investment climate and investment attractiveness.

Leadership of the SCO Business Club, in turn, offered to use their experience in attracting investments, by using a systematic approach, successful exclusive strategies, developments of a set of tactical measures, in using  modern search tools, unique technologies to attract and introduce foreign investments, constraining instruments in implementing foreign investments which will allow for restructuring in important areas and increase volumes of "productive" investment profitable for everyone, thus providing employment and a gradual planned approach to improve the economic status of the PMR.

The sides agreed to hold another meeting soon with the participation of ministers for foreign affairs and economic development in order to establish cooperation and interaction, and also to consider the possibility of opening a representative office of the SCO Business Club in the PMR.

The IV International Business Forum "Moscow Business Dialogue of the SCO" was organized by the Secretariat of the SCO Business Council, the SCO Business Club, and Plekhanov Russian University of Economics with the support of the Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation. The event was aimed at consolidating the professional potential of the SCO business community to develop proposals and recommendations for the forthcoming meeting of the Heads of Government of the SCO Member States, and also developing international business relations and increasing business contacts of the economic agents of the SCO countries.

Forum participants discussed the issues of energy and project cooperation in the implementation of national programmes of economic development of the SCO countries which currently includes Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kirgizia, Tajikistan, India, Iran, Pakistan, Mongolia, Afghanistan, Belarus, Turkey, and Sri Lanka.  

The speakers included Head of the Department of World Economy of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, Member corr., Doctor of Economics, prof. R.I. Khasbulatov,  Ivanovo Region Governor P.Konkov,  Director of the Department of external relations and work with business councils of the CCI V.I.  Padalko, Advisor to the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Crimea under the President of the Russian Federation for foreign economic and investment issues J. Ivanchenko, Director of the SCO Business Club D. Tyurin, Chairman of the Union of Chinese businessmen in Russia Tsai Guyzhu, President of the Association for Regional Development of the Silk Road Shaohui Wang (China), President of the RTIB in the Russian Federation Naki Karaaslana (Turkey) and others.
