The grand opening of the exhibition “Peers of Pridnestrovie” took place in the State Cultural Centre “Palace of the Republic” today – the project organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR and the group of initiative photographers. On September 2, on the Republic Day, the exhibition will also be visited by the high guests from Russia, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Nagorno-Karabakh and other countries.

30 young people who were born 25 years ago, as well as Pridnestrovie, have become characters of the photo collage held in the republic. Photo artists set themselves the task to show the new independent Pridnestrovie through the faces of young citizens of the republic. They included representatives of different professions and occupations: doctors, teachers, athletes, civil servants and creative workers.

25 years - this is a serious term to succeed. This is illustrated by the stories of the project participants. During photo shoots characters told the authors of the photo collages about their life, shared their plans for the future. Each of them gave their answers to the question: “Who is Pridnestrovian?” Peers’ answers were included in the booklet of the same name intended for Russian and English-speaking audience. In the near future numerous foreign guests of the republic will be able to see with their own eyes that friendly, peace-loving people live in Pridnestrovie, who, despite the external circumstances and threats, confidently goes toward international recognition.
